This is my all-time favorite. You've greatly caught the bright and vivid colors of the flames and the contrast is amazing. I'm glad seeing this here.

I used a tutorial for the fire(loooooong time ago). Was only a small part of one, but for this painting it was really helpful. So i just copied it several times and adjusted it for the phoenix :D

I think the most important thing is, that you start with very light colors and then go to deep red or even black :o
